How
could you resist Rick Steves dressed as a reindeer?
No
doubt (...no doubt) you've heard about Rick Steves, the travel guru. He is a
specialist on European travel and has probably experienced more of Britain than
I ever will. I got his England Guidebook for Christmas last year
and devoured it, taking copious notes and using it to determine my highest
priority sights. I signed up for Rick's travel updates and have looked around
his travel store (lusting after a particular carry-on bag which is his
trademark), but hadn't yet bought anything from him until I got an email about
his Holiday Sale.

Scotland guidebook
- Convertible Carry-On (a gorgeous red,
to match my other luggage)
- Pocket London (I've heard that this
is really handy)
- Britain
Planning Map
- Rick Steves' Pocket Travel Journal
- Essential
Silk Moneybelt
Dare I
tell you what a bargain I got? $104.22. The bag alone
originally cost $99.95! That's not even to mention that I got Rick's Travel Skills DVD and Smithsonian
Magazine: Travels with Rick Steves absolutely free! If you have some travel
items on your wish list, I would highly recommend heading over
to this store before the sale runs out. As for me, I now feel that much close
to realizing my travel dreams, just holding my guidebooks and carry-on bag.
Cheers!
Abigail
I enjoy watching Rick Steves on my pbs channels. I've only seen one of his shows in England, but of course I thought of you when I was watching it. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's one of the few regrets I have about not having television, no PBS!
DeleteIt's great to know that you thought of me, Judeann; thanks for commenting :)
